Description of self/services for directory:
I care deeply about my work as a counselor and highly value the families, adolescents, children, and couples I have the privilege to work with. I truly feel called to this work and strive to help every client I see to figure out their best path. Whatever your age, circumstance, background, or struggle, I want you to feel welcomed and at home in your session. It is my ultimate goal to help you achieve the goals you have set for yourself and live a happy and healthy life.
In each session, I will assist you in processing your struggles and celebrating your successes through a client-centered approach and will also provide education and resources as necessary for you to meet your therapeutic goals. I use humor and spiritual guidance when appropriate to build a genuine and lasting client-counselor relationship to provide a comfortable and safe environment in each session.
I have a great deal of experience in working with youth and families, especially in high crisis and high conflict situations. I believe the health of each individual is improved when the health of the family is improved and give every effort to help make this happen. I am passionate about working with couples to prepare for marriage, restore a broken relationship, or to manage conflict and improve the quality of their relationship or marriage. I am certified as a PREPARE-ENRICH facilitator and use experiential activities with couples to assist them in learning vital skills to improve the health of their relationship and grow closer.
I offer a judgment-free zone and a very comfortable, laid-back environment in my sessions. I believe it is extremely important for everyone involved to approach the counseling experience with a genuine spirit and willingness to work and I promise you that as your counselor.
